In downtown Fredricksburg you will find the Nimitz Mueum and Museum of the Pacific War. The Nimitz Museum is housed in the building that his uncle owned and operated as a hotel when Admiral Chester A. Nimitz was a child. It includes the Japanese Garden of Peace, build by the Japanese following WWII because of the deep respect they had for the Admiral.
Der Lindenbaum Restaurant is located just a few doors down from the Nimitz Museum. Der Lindenbaum offers authentic German cuisine. The only restaurant in Fredericksburg to do so exclusively.
